We all travel our paths at different speeds and from various directions. Our journeys come with unique twists and turns designed to teach us what we need for our particular purpose. For one, the eureka moment can come early, and for another later than they would like...but I like to believe that it's not when we awake that matters, but what we do once we're awake that makes all the difference.
Realizing that faith and fear cannot exist in the same space seems like a very simple principle based on scripture and founded in truth. But simplicity is in the eye of the beholder...or the head of the thinker in this case, because many people struggle with this principle and try to operate under the guise of faith all the while fearful of every step and turn. Is this you? If so, you could be blocking many blessings and opportunities, or preventing many people from entering, or exiting your life (yes, sometimes them exiting is best).
For my guest today, realizing that she was trying to force faith and fear to occur in her life and space at the same time was a game changer for her, and now she's changing the game! Markeisha Minor-Harris is a young woman, but don't let her age fool you. What she lacks in age and experience, she makes up for with grit, determination, and smarts for miles!
Otherwise known as, The Dream Catcher, Markeisha is a business consultant and rising entrepreneur who has worked in the Mental Health field and is an advocate for mental wellness. Having jumpstarted her own career, she is now helping others to reach their highest potentials with her work within her business, The Dreamcatcher Network. Markeisha is also the creator of Blocal Search, the fastest growing nationwide directory and app for Black owned businesses. Markeisha is an inspiration for all ages who have had obstacles and hardships, but who have just enough faith to be determined to preserve. You really can do anything, so dream big! Listen in, learn, and be inspired!

I believe that healing is simply becoming who you were meant to be before trauma entered into your life. The problem is that though many want to heal they often don't even know how to begin to start the process. Defining moments include those when we decide to make a change, we seek the proper guidance, and when we find it, we take the proper action to change. These are the moments that get us from trauma, to trapped, to healed, to abundance... this is our goal and I pray that it starts for you today!
My guest today, is Dr. Leonie H. Mattison…she is an organizational and talent development practitioner. She’s also the author of the books The Thread: Imperfect Steps to a God-ordained Purpose and Beside Still Waters 21-day Devotional. Leonie also created The T.H.R.E.A.D Six-Step System to help survivors free themselves from past trauma and live an abundant life. She earned a Doctorate in organizational leadership from Argosy University, a Master’s in business administration from Georgian Court University and a Christian Life Coaching Certificate from Light University. She is the recipient of the 2018 18th Annual Pacific Coast Business Times “40 Under 40 Award” recognizing the forty best and brightest transformational leaders on the Central Coast under the age of forty. And to top it all off, Leonie has accomplished all of this while raising her 3 daughters.
But, before she went on to accomplish all these accolades, Leonie suffered trauma that left her feeling battered and broken. But, thank God she didn't stay that way! She now believes that her purpose is to create work that connects women as one T.H.R.E.A.D to each other and to God so that they can navigate their healing journey abundantly. Whatever is keeping you from your healing should be broken off of your life and it starts today! Listen in, learn, and be inspired!

Unfortunately, a very real part of our human condition are illnesses of the body, mind, and the spirit. Many of these illnesses are caused due to unhealthy relationships with the fuel used to energize us. Fortunately for us, God knew that our actions would lead us to sickness, and He created everything that we would need to heal and be better. God created beautiful plants and left us with self-care strategies with tremendous capacities for restoring health, strength, and wellness. Without a doubt the earliest people knew how to use these to benefit their bodies, minds, and spirits.
Today, with all of the man-made additives and preservatives in our foods we need these natural remedies more than ever. The bad news is that over time, we have lost the ability to use these remedies as they have been replaced by man-made medicines designed to be used to help address the illnesses created by all the man-made foods. We're stuck in a perpetual cycle of food dysfunction that's leading us to dis-ease and far too many early deaths.
My guest today, Alkemia Earth, found something wrong with this system at an early age and began wanting to change things first in her own life, then in the lives of her children, other family members and friends, and now the world! Alkemia is a holistic health and wellness coach, master subtle energy practitioner, and all-around health game changer. She is an advocate for a lifestyle that advocates wellness of mind, body, and spirit. She lives and teaches the health benefits of a plant-based vegan lifestyle, not just for the body, but for the mind and spirit as well and has followed the teachings of masters such as Dr. Sebi, studying the damage chemical additives and preservatives can cause to the body and mind.
The mother of 5 was able to heal her daughter’s eczema and cure her own anemia as well as rehabilitate herself from years of insomnia, high stress and anxiety, low blood sugar, low energy and depression, broke a sugar addiction and was even able to overcome an ovarian cyst. She has gone on to create a unique method that has transformed many lives by helping others overcome diabetes, high blood pressure, arthritis, depression, anxiety, acne, inflammation, candida, food addictions, high cholesterol, digestion issues, obesity, low energy, poor vision, and even tumors. Her skills as a raw vegan chef led her to be the private chef and energy practitioner for NBA all-star Wilson Chandler for a season, and to be invited to present at the White House during the Obama administration where she was honored to meet President and First-lady Obama. Alkemia is a Savvy Mogul who is truly passionate about living her best life physically, mentally, and spiritually and she's helping others do the same!

What they don't tell us is that much of becoming successful in this life is tied moreso to who we are and how we are than it is to the things we do. Of course the actions that we take are important. But, the inner work that we do to heal, grow, and become is even more important. Then, the icing on the cake is learning to love ourselves so that we can then transfer that love to others and to the things that we are called to do in this world... OUR WHY. My guest today, LaShawanda Moore has been able to find the perfect mix between elevating herself to success and doing the work to heal and cultivate self-love. I believe this comes out in her beautiful personality and spirit that allows her to gracefully help others on their journeys. Anyone who meets her or visits her business can tell that she has definitely found her why!
LaShawanda is someone that little girls everywhere can look up to... and big girls too. She is a woman of God, a community leader, a wife, a mother, a corporate rockstar, an entrepreneur, a motivational speaker, a coach, and a savvy mogul who's moves can inspire us all! LaShawanda is changing lives through her business Elevate Success LLC, and she practices what she preaches in her own life, elevating herself as a successful entrepreneur and business woman while also learning to love herself, flaws and all!

Most people want to know and accomplish God's plan for their lives. What they don't want is to go through the process that often comes before the fulfillment of the plan. My guest today knows from firsthand experience that you cannot have the plan without the process, and even though her process hasn't been easy, she's committed to the plan! So, she pushes on, getting closer to her goals every step of the way.
Shirley Hubbard is the creator and host of the Shades of Strong podcast and she knows a whole lot about being strong, having endured much pain and suffering in her life. Instead of allowing her trials to break her, Shirley decided that she would allow her process to do its job, which is to prepare her for her unique plan. Shirley has a sensitivity to the burden of the "strong women" and seeks to support women in their effort to express their strengths in ways that honors them while also not allowing excuses for anyone to take advantage of them.
Shirley's sense of humor and wit, together with her caring heart make her a Savvy Mogul who is making moves to strengthen her community from within. Listen in and be inspired!
